Aspire R11 – traditional budget laptop. It uses the most inexpensive materials, but it looks pretty well. All the external surfaces, namely the cover, the base and the hinge of the display is made of matte textured blue plastic. Inside the laptop is not as fun, pantalona region and the cover display is also matte, but black.
In General, through the use of practical materials, Acer does make good design even budget devices. For example, in R11 I love the fact that the outer surfaces easy grip, can hold the laptop with one hand without fear of dropping it. Pantalona area is a little rough, it does not leave any traces after use. In any case – it is much better than instantly covered with fingerprints and stains gloss.
The location of the elements is quite standard. All full-sized ports: RJ45, HDMI, two USB 2.0 and 3.0, combo Jack for a headset, are collected on the left. On the right are a volume rocker, two activity indicator power button and the socket of the power supply.
Raises questions only the location of the SD slot. He was on the back wall, exactly between the hinge. Apart from the odd placement and the obvious inconvenience of use, it is worth noting the fact that in classical position the lid must not be tilted more than 90 degrees, otherwise you will not be able to get out of the connector plug.
Otherwise everything is familiar – the logos of the manufacturer, screws, rubber feet. The latter is used for stability in any of four operating positions, which offer transformers with the screen rotated 360 degrees.
The keyboard is made by island scheme. The size of each button smaller, when typing they rattle a bit, but budget laptops like occurs often.
